Yes, we will have a virtual Summer Reading program June 7 - August 7 for kids, teens, and adults! https://lapl.org/summer
We invite you to read, reconnect, and reimagine:
- Read books, e-books, graphic novels or magazines; or listen to an audiobook - it all counts!
- Reconnect with the library this summer! Join us for Summer With the Library and Renew your love of reading, learning and community.
- Reimagine the future - discover all the great resources that your library has to offer.
Register online, or pick up a gameboard at the Platt, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Northridge, West Valley or Encino branches. Other open branches can be found at https://lapl.org/browse-borrow
Programming will be virtual this year; see the website for a whole slate of performers and librarians from around the city.
But the prizes will be real! See the prize flier for information.
Children who read and visit the library during the summer keep their reading skills strong. They are ready to learn when they go back to school in August. And in the Summer Reading Challenge, kids get to read whatever they want – for fun! And the more they read, the better readers they become. So make sure your kids (and you) join the fun this summer!
